Game Theory World Congress in Istanbul

Istanbul will host the fourth World Congress on Game Theory from July 22nd to 26th at the Istanbul Bilgi University. The Congress is organized by the Game Theory Society, which promotes game theory applications in a variety of fields. Keynote speakers include several Nobel Prize winners from Princeton University, Stanford University and MIT.

“Game theory studies strategic interaction in competitive and cooperative environments. Half a century old, it has already revolutionized economics, and is spreading rapidly to a wide variety of fields.”

Istanbul, Istanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi'nde 26 Temmuz 22 den oyun kuramının Dördüncü Dünya Kongresi ev sahipliği yapacak. Kongre, Oyun teorisi Derneği, çeşitli alanlarda oyun teorisi uygulamaları teşvik tarafından düzenlenmiştir. Davetli Konuşmacılar, Princeton Üniversitesi, Stanford Üniversitesi ve MIT birkaç Nobel Ödülü Kazananlar arasındadır. "Oyun teorisi stratejik rekabet ve işbirliği ortamları etkileşiminde okuyor. Istanbul’s Conference Centers

Istanbul spans two continents and was a home to three great world empires. It is truly a cultural capital of Europe. Istanbul Design Biennial to be held in October

The first design biennial in Istanbul will bring together various design disciplines such as urban planning, architecture, interior design, industrial design, graphic design, new media design, and fashion design. The theme of the biennial is "imperfection". It will be held from October 13th to December 12, 2012 at the Istanbul Modern Museum.

“This biennial is organized so as to promote the importance of design in production, economy, culture, and quality of life. It is organized in association with the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts.”

Tüm tasarım disiplinleri kentsel planlama, mimari, iç tasarım, endüstriyel tasarım, grafik tasarım, yeni medya tasarım ve moda tasarımı gibi ilk tasarım Bienali İstanbul'da buluşturacak. Bienali "eksiklik" teması. O 13 Ekim 12 Aralık 2012 için Istanbul Modern Müzesi'nde yapılacak. "Bu Bienali tasarım üretim, Ekonomi, Kültür ve yaşam kalitesinin önemini tanıtmak amacıyla düzenlenmiştir. Bu kültür ve Sanat Derneği Istanbul Vakfı ile düzenlenmiştir."

MOMA's Young Architect's Program in Istanbul

The Museum of Modern Art’s (MOMA) Young Architects Program (YAP) will expand to Turkey in the summer of 2013. A new collaborative deal was signed between the MOMA, MOMA PS1 and the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art.

Here is a video about “Wendy”, an award winning installation that is shaped like a star and cleans the air.

A Third Bridge Across the Bosphorus

A Third Bridge across the Bosphorus could be built as early as 2015 at the cost of 4.5 billion Turkish Lira (1.6 billion British Pounds) The first bridge opened in 1973, while the second bridge opened in 1988. Critics argue that the bridge will add more vehicular traffic, destroy green areas and create unwanted sprawl. They point to the statistics which show that the number of vehicles crossing the Bosphorous increased by 1,180% since the opening of the second bridge. They claim that the money should be spent in building an efficient mass transit system.

Proposed Palladium Tower

Istanbul will get a competition winning tower, designed by Swanke Hayden Connell Architects. It is scheduled to be constructed by 2014. The tower will be situated on a 1.7 hectare site and will have spectacular views of the Bosphorus Sea. The layout of a typical floor is designed around a central core. Each floor level will have a naturally ventilated landscaped atria. The exterior façade is designed to maximize daylight and provide thermal insulation. Exterior lighting as well as color of the façade will add to the aesthetic expression.

Cephe renklerinin yanı sıra dış aydınlatma estetik ifade eklemek olacaktır.
